We'd been looking forward to Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow since we saw a trailer for it, I think back in December when we saw Return of the King. It didn't really disappoint. That's not to say that it was the greatest movie ever, but it had a fun, campy, 1930's sci-fi serial vibe to it that I really liked (once I stopped obsessing over what was CG and what wasn't...it all was). For some reason the movie it best compares to is Raiders of the Lost Ark. They both pay homage to a more classic form of action movie, different genres, but the same feel.
